Koeman also assured Coutinho that he remains an integral part of the set-up at Camp Nou and that he is an important part of Ronald’s plans, going into the future. Coutinho’s future at Barcelona was always going to depend on the 57-year-old’s plans and by the looks of it, the Brazilian star is set to stay for another season. There is a major squad overhaul that is being planned and we are going to see many senior players being shown the door. The most prominent name among them is Luis Suarez. Suarez and his best friend, Lionel Messi have been liked with a move away from the club this season which might inspire Coutinho to take charge for the next season.
The average age of the squad is at an all-time high and Messi has never been pushed to the edge, like the current managing system has done. He is closer than ever to a club exit but another season at the club looks inevitable for the Argentine Ace as practically, no team is in the position to trigger his massive £632 million release clause.
