The rumours have taken full force over the recent days with there apparently even being confirmation from the Catalan side that the player has asked to go.

Messi, who has a year left on his contract is trying to exercise a free clause that’ll let him walk out of the Camp Nou. However, Josep Maria Bartomeu and his directorial committee is adamant and united on the fact that the player’s right has expired in June and he can only leave if his release clause worth 700 million euros is triggered.
