Higher chance of winning individual awards

La Liga is the place to be for Lionel Messi where he stands a great chance of winning individual awards. Given Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure, there’s nobody who can realistically mount a challenge to the 33-year-old’s credentials on the award front. The seasonal awards will be a Messi property as would the Pichichi Trophy in all likelihood.

Given how likely he is to claim the trophies up for grab and also how many trophies he’s already got in the locker, Messi can set records that will be nearly impossible to break. Not only would he cement his place as Barcelona’s greatest player, he’ll also be known as one of the greatest individuals to play in Spain’s illustrious top-flight.
