A squad revamp is only a matter of time

Lionel Messi isn’t happy with the Barcelona squad and that is no secret. He has publicly spoken about the board’s lack of transfers in the recent months, but frankly speaking, a squad revamp is only a matter of time. Ronald Koeman has already asked aged players to leave and therefore, the departures will have to be filled with arrivals.

Moreover, Barca’s next president, whoever it may be will have to sanction a major squad overhaul to get into the fans’ good books. In that sense, the arrivals of Lautaro Martinez and Neymar may be on the cards and especially since they were players requested by the club’s greatest ever player, as well as a few reinforcements everywhere on the pitch.

Do you think Messi’s father’s talks with Bartomeu will come to beneficial use?
