Donny van de Beek snubs Barcelona with a move to Manchester United

Barcelona need to sign new midfielders as Ivan Rakitic is on the way out of the Camp Nou and is excepted to complete his move to Sevilla over the next few days. In addition to Rakitic leaving Barca has shown desire to sell Arturo Vidal over the summer transfer window. Selling these players might overstretch and put too much pressure on Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong and Miralem Pjanic from performing in the upcoming season.

There are many rumours that suggest that the 2018-2019 La Liga champions are interested to sign some midfielders who can help add depth to the squad and help the club to perform in a more effective manner in the upcoming season as compared to this season. The club has shown interest to sign players such as Donny van de Beek and Georginio Wijnaldum as Ronaldo Koeman feel they would add great value to the squad.

Donny van de Beek has snubbed Barcelona.

According to Goal, Donny van de Beek is set to leave Ajax and join Manchester United for a fees of around 40 million euros over the summer transfer window. This move is extremely shocking considering the fact that he was so heavily linked with a move to the Catalan giants and has a great relationship with Ronald Koeman.

Barca must try and sign other midfielder over the next few weeks to replace the duo of Rakitic and Vidal. In addition to signing some world-class defenders the Spanish giants must work on extending the contract for Marc-Andre ter Stegen who is on the radar of many big European clubs such as Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
