Ronald Koeman wants three signings at Barcelona

The Lionel Messi situation in Barcelona has grown out of control. The newly-appointed head coach, Ronald Koeman, is aware that he has little to no control over the future of Messi as the player has more or less made up his mind.

ESPN reports that the Argentine forward has even signed a five-year contract with City Football Group that would see him play three seasons with Manchester City in the Premier League and two seasons with New York City FC in the Major Soccer League.

Koeman has turned his attention towards making signings instead as the board continues to deal with the Messi renewal operation. The former Everton manager has set his eye’s on three signings, according to the El Desmarque.

The three signings that Ronald Koeman wants

In the defense, it seems like Samuel Umtiti might be on his way out. To cover the French defender’s role, Koeman wants Eric Garcia of Manchester City. A homegrown talent would fit straight away under Koeman and the player himself is willing to join forces with his boyhood club.

In the midfield with Ivan Rakitic joining Sevilla and Arturo Vidal negotiating a deal with Inter Milan. Koeman wants a midfielder that could add physicality in the midfield and his go-to option is Gini Wijnaldum who is on the final year of his contract with Liverpool.

Koeman wishes against working with Suarez for the 2020/21 season. The former Liverpool striker has been linked with a move to Juventus and Ajax. To replace Suarez, Koeman wants Lautaro Martinez, however, it is reported that the Argentine forward will continue for another season in Italy.
