Barcelona receive good news on a possible signing from France
Barcelona is in the market for a striker and will soon be looking for a right-winger as well, as Lionel Messi is closer than ever towards an exit. The club’s first priority remains to sign a first-team striker as newly appointed head coach, Ronald Koeman, believes that Luis Suarez will not work under his system.

The former Liverpool striker has been linked with a move to Ajax Amsterdam, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain. Some news outlets report that the South American striker has even agreed to terms with Juventus. Having said that, Suarez’s departure from Camp Nou is just a matter of time and Koeman has already shortlisted his successor.
Koeman wants to replace Suarez with a Dutch forward
Memphis Depay of Lyon is deemed as the chosen one by Ronald Koeman. The Dutch manager sees the former Manchester United player fit to replace Luis Suarez. However, unlike Suarez who is a classic striker, Depay is more of a false nine or a wide attacker.
According to El Desmarque, Depay stated that he has not yet had a word with Koeman regarding a possible move to Barca, however, the former PSV forward stated that he does not mind dreaming of making a move to a big club.
Meanwhile, Ronald Koeman continues to weigh his options. The Dutch manager has Lautaro Martinez shortlisted as well and would have to make a choice between either of the two players. Antoine Griezmann will also continue under Koeman despite the rumours linking the player with a move away.
