Barcelona set to offer Vidal plus cash for a world-class defender
The 2019/20 campaign has been a clear indicator that Barcelona needs to focus more on signing defenders rather than focusing on signing overly priced forwards such as Neymar Jr. With a weak defense, it is almost impossible to win a competition irrespective of how strong the front line is. And Ronald Koeman seems to have understood this situation as it rumoured that the Dutchman is on the lookout for a defender.

Mundo Deportivo reports that Barca is willing to offer Arturo Vidal to Inter Milan along with cash for their world-class centre-back, Stefan de Vrij.
The 28-year-old Dutch defender is one of the many Dutch players that Ronald Koeman wants to sign this season. The other Dutch players include Gini Wijnaldum of Liverpool and Memphis Depay of Lyon who has already agreed to personal terms and could be signed very soon.
However, the negotiations will not be so easy
Antonio Conte is looking forward to working with his former pupil, Arturo Vidal. However, the former Chelsea boss would certainly not want to lose Stefan de Vrij who is one of his most important defenders in the squad.

Either Barca would have to offer Vidal along with a huge sum of money or the club would have to withdraw their interest since Conte would not part ways with the Dutch defender so easy. It is a complicated situation, however, if the deal does fall through then Koeman would have a rock-solid defense with De Vrij leading the backline.
