MALCOM OLIVIERA

Malcom was seen as a hot youngster prior to his move to Barcelona but given that the club had several wingers including the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele beside Lionel Messi, he was never bound to have a place right from the first day. However, when a club like the Blaugrana come calling, it is hard to turn them down.

AS Roma were within touching distance of signing him from Bordeaux and even had the logistics to fly him from France to Italy before Bartomeu’s Barca came to steal the deal. Malcom was not a player requested for by Ernesto Valverde and even though his signing was initially welcomed, it looked very unjustifiable.
