Thiago has decided to join Liverpool instead of Barcelona

Despite bringing Miralem Pjanic from Juventus to the Camp Nou over the summer transfer window many believe that Barcelona have shown interest to sign many world-class midfielders over this transfer window.

This is because the departure of  Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal will leave the club with a huge void which the Catalan giants will find tough to fill over the summer transfer window.

Thiago has Joined Liverpool.

Thiago Alcantara is one of the midfielders in the world who has helped Bayern win the Bundesliga 7 times in addition to 4 German cups and the 2019-2020 Champions League title. The experienced Spaniard was shown interest from many big European clubs such as Barca, Manchester United and Liverpool ever since he hinted that he would like to leave Germany over the summer transfer window as stated by the Express.

Even though the 2019-2020 La Liga champions showed interest to sign the Spanish international Thiago has decided to join the 2019-2020 Premier League champions as he would like to play to play under Klopp in England. Thiago has a contract which will keep the 29 year old at Anfield untill 2024.

As Thiago Alcantara has joined Liverpool many reports have suggested that Georginio Wijnaldum might force a move to join Barca over the course of the next few weeks. However, if the Netherlands international decides to stay at Liverpool  Ronald Koeman should try to sign other midfielders such as Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar who can help add depth in the midfield of Barca and help remove pressure from Frankie De Jong and Sergio Busquets from performing in the upcoming season.
