More from Everything Barca

That simply means that Koeman is willing to drive out a few of the senior squad members that do not seem fit according to him. Luis Suarez and Arturo Vidal are the two South American footballers that the Dutch manager wants out this summer.

To replace the former Liverpool striker, Barca has shortlisted Memphis Depay and have agreed to terms with the player and his club.

To annouce the signing of Depay, the Catalans have to first get rid of Suarez this summer. The long wait has seen Depay receive offers from other clubs as well including a lucrative deal from AC Milan.

Barca has a plan B to get rid of Luis Suarez

To prevent the 26-year-old Dutch forward from signing for another club, the board at the Camp Nou has come up with a new plan. Luis Suarez is in the final year of his contract and the 33-year-old currently earns 14 million euros a year.

According to El Desmarque, the board is willing to pay the former Liverpool man 7 million euros this summer if he agrees to leave the club. However, Luis Suarez is stern about receiving his entire salary instead which is 14 million euros.

Barca certainly cannot keep Memphis Depay and Olympique Lyon waiting for so long. If the Catalans fail to offload Suarez within the next few days, then both Depay and Lyon will be open to hearing new offers. The mess with Suarez has to be settled as soon as possible or Ronald Koeman might lose out on his prized forward.
