Three Barcelona superstars lead a strong rebellion against Ronald Koeman due to his recent antics of shortlisting several players as transferable

Ronald Koeman might just be the first Barcelona manager to already have the fanbase against him before his first official game in charge. Since taking over as the manager of the club, the Dutch manager has closed the departures of Luis Suarez, Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic, and Nelson Semedo. However, the club is yet to sign a replacement for either of the four departures.

Having said that, many believed that Koeman lost the plot when he decided to offload Riqui Puig. The talented midfielder is considered generational by the fans at Camp Nou and every single fan wants him to stay despite what Koeman believes in.

The manager suggests that Riuqi Puig will not get game time under his 4-2-3-1 system as the Spaniard is not a proper holding midfielder. Like Puig, the same has been told to a few other players as well from the senior squad.

El Desmarque reports that three players have decided to go against Koeman’s wishes and will continue in the first team to fight for a spot in the starting eleven.

Riqui Puig, Carles Alena, and Rafinha Alcantara have decided to stay this season despite Koeman wanting them out. The Dutch manager had suggested Puig and Alena to go out on loan as they must be playing regular football at their age, however, the duo has no plans of leaving Camp Nou.

With Rafinha Alcantara, the situation is different. The former Celta Vigo midfielder’s contract ends next summer and Barca are keen on cashing on him now. However, the Catalans have set his transfer fee at 16 million euros that have waived off interest from all suitors.

The mess with these three players has to be settled soon enough as a rebellion in the dressing room will only create a poor environment that could hamper the team’s performance.
