MOST SEASONS AS A BARCELONA PLAYER

Lionel Messi started out as Blaugrana as a teenager and subsequently made his debut for the club as a 17-year-old youngster. This will be his 17th season at the club and the fans would certainly hope that it is not his last given how the contract situation is panning out. From an optimistic standpoint, it is unlikely that he leaves with a new president incoming.

Carles Rexach and Xavi are currently tied at 16 seasons each and even with one appearance in the upcoming campaign, the Argentinian star would have met that record. At 33, it’s a phenomenal achievement to have reach 17 seasons at the top level and his next target would be the 20-year mark, something that will take a major turn of events to be fulfilled.
