Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta sheds light on his return date
Andres Iniesta reveals his desire to make a return to Barcelona.
Andres Iniesta finally let Barcelona fans know about his future plans and when he will be returning to the Catalan side. The club legend left the club in 2018 to join the Japanese side, Vissel Kobe. It is no secret that Barca’s status in world football has fallen a lot since the Xavi-Iniesta era and fans are desperate to see their club perform how they once used to. With the departure of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi is the only one now left from their unstoppable era and fans will at least have something to look forward to from Iniesta’s words.

The legend told Canadian channel, OneSoccer (via Mundo Deportivo), that Camp Nou is his home and he hopes that one day in the future he can return to the club that he loves. However, he also stated that it would not be possible in the foreseeable future. He claims that he will be in Japan for at least a few more years. His time in Japan has been quite ideal for him and he wants to extend it but also has plans to return.
Iniesta was arguably the most creative visionary who ever graced the Spanish midfield and he has won 35 major trophies with club and Country. His achievements include four UEFA Champions League trophies, nine La Liga trophies, one FIFA World Cup, and two UEFA EUROS. The player is no doubt a legend in both his nation and club and Barca fans will surely be looking forward to his return to the club as a coach in the future.
