Koeman offers three options to Riqui Puig as he wants him out immediately

Ronald Koeman has not ruled out the fact that Riqui Puig can have a decent amount of minutes this season in the new format. However, in his recent interview, the former Barca defender stated

"” If Riqui or Aleñá decide to stay, they will have training sessions to make me think otherwise”"

This shows that Koeman is willing to make changes to his formation if need be. Provided that Riqui Puig impress the manager in training, we might see him start ahead of Sergio Busquets in the starting eleven.

Puig is just 21 and at his age, the player can easily learn and adapt to a new role. It would be interesting to see whether the Spanish midfielder can learn the art of being a holding midfielder.
