Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr slam Barcelona and the board ruthlessly on Instagram after Luis Suarez’s departure

Atletico Madrid has confirmed the signing of Luis Suarez on a two-year contract. The former Barcelona striker’s contract was terminated by the club as they no longer needed him under the new coach, Ronald Koeman. Suarez was given a farewell at Camp Nou where he expressed his gratitude towards the club for giving him the opportunity to play football once again after his 2014 World Cup mishap.

However, Lionel Messi was clearly not impressed by the way Luis Suarez was driven out of the club. The 33-year-old captain took to Instagram to express his heartfelt love towards Suarez and his aversion towards the board.

Luis Suarez departed the club as the third all-time top scorer, however, the way he was treated the last few weeks is quite disrespectful given the amount he has achieved since signing for the club in 2014.

Lionel Messi went on to state that he was not surprised by the way his teammate was treated. Which is quite a shocking statement to make while being the captain of the club?

"And not to get kicked out like they did. But the truth is that at this point nothing surprises me- Lionel Messi’s post on Luis Suarez"

Messi’s candid expression on Instagram certainly means that he will not renew terms with this club and will venture out for a new challenge irrespective if Joan Laporta is elected as president as well. Former Barca winger, Neymar Jr, expressed his thoughts as well to the current board by stating that its shocking the way they do things.
