Barcelona are restabilising their squad.

More from Everything Barca

Under Ronald Koeman Barcelona have sold many experienced players such as Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic and Luis Suarez. The Spanish giants are expected to spend the club’s summer transfer budget to sign players who can help fill the void that the experienced players have left in the squad in order to be successful in the 2020-2021 season.

To be a successful manager in Barca Ronald Koeman must focus on signing replacements for integral players such as Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique who are in their 30’s and are playing one of their last few seasons in football in addition to Lionel Messi who many believe that he might want to leave the Catalan giants at the end of the 2020-2021 season.

Barca must sign a young world-class defender.

The Spanish giants must try to sign a world-class central defender who can replace Gerard Pique in the near future. This move is extremely important as Samuel Umtiti who could have acted as a replacement for Pique has failed to impress Barca’s board and is on the verge of getting sold over the next few days.

Barca should try to sign defenders such as Dayot Upamecano, Kalidou Koulibaly and Ibrahima Konate who have been phenomenal for their clubs. These players will help fortify the Camp Nou in a convincing manner as this move would help the 2018-2019 La Liga champions be more successful while defending in the future. Many believe that the Spanish giants lost the league in the 2019-2020 season as they weren’t efficient while defending as they conceded 38 goals in 38 league games as well as lost 8-2 in the quarter finals of the Champions League .
