Lionel Messi expresses reasons for his public outburst towards president.

After the exit of striker, Luis Suarez, club legend, Lionel Messi, wrote a heartfelt post on Instagram expressing his anger and disappointment at the club’s treatment of Suarez. The sentimental message was mostly a farewell statement for the Uruguayan striker but it also criticised the management of the club and the decisions they had been taking.

Messi has now come up with a statement clearing his name as many fans believe that the forward is overstepping the boundaries and being too critical of the club. The Argentine said that the post was an outburst of anger and resentment that he was holding for too long. The transfer drama and the treatment of his friend was enough for Messi to finally express his feelings towards the club. He said on his post,

"“We’re going to miss you so much. We spent many years together, many lunches and many dinners. So many things we will never forget, all the time we spent together.”“You did not deserve for them to throw you out like they did. But the truth is that at this stage nothing surprises me anymore.”Source Goal."

Now in an interview with Sport, he let fans a bit more into his mind and explained everyone as to why he made such a post against the club’s manager and board.

"“I said what I felt in what was a tough moment. I understand people may have thought I should have shut up or let it go, as I did on many other occasions, but a lot of things hurt me in the last few weeks and it was my way of expressing that.”"

He is still determined to give his best this season although it might be his last. The Argentine will most likely join Pep Guardiola next season but in his final season he wishes to leave the club with at least one more trophy.

"“Whoever knows me knows that I am not capable of playing any way other than always to win, and giving everything on the pitch. It was like that throughout my career and that is not going to change. Today my commitment to this shirt and this badge is total, it is still intact.”"
