Barcelona are in for a major revamp that is set to last for at least a couple of seasons.
The Catalan giants desperately need another centre-back who also brings the option of being a long-term prospect to the table. As per Goal, the Blaugrana hasn’t given up on Eric Garcia.

Eric Garcia has been linked to a move to Barcelona for the past 3 months now. The Manchester City prospect is touted to be one of the better defenders in the making and fortunately for Barcelona, he wants to return to his former club. The tensions at Camp Nou seem to have eased a bit for now, following the sale of Nelson Semedo, which gave a much needed cash-injection to Ronald Koeman and his plans of building a fresh Barcelona squad.
Nelson Semedo was sold for a fee around £35 million and the Blaugrana acquired Sergino Dest with that money. Now, they will be diverting their attention towards Memphis Depay and Eric Garcia, with the both of them being heavily linked to a move to the Camp Nou. However the priority must remain Memphis Depay, should the time come to decide between the two.
Barca have always played attacking football and the current squad is based around Messi. With Koeman being acquainted with Depay, he could just be the perfect fit at the position of the Left Winger. This would allow them to play their traditional 4-3-3 formation with Griezmann playing the role of the striker. However, one cannot be too sure about that.
It is clear that the La Liga giants are in a pole position to land both the players but they lack the funds, at the moment; to land both the players at once. They are desperately looking to offload another player and it is rumoured to be Dembele. Manchester United are interested in the Frenchman but are willing to only loan him as their primary target is Jadon Sancho.
