Ronald Koeman‘s training regime and tactics that have been in place during the two last two fixtures of Barcelona has highly impressed Lionel Messi, according to reports. The Catalan side seems like a new team under the former Everton manager as the team looks a lot more energetic and confident when compared to the squad that Setien and Valverde had.

In the last two La Liga fixtures, Barca has managed to score 7 goals and have not yet conceded a goal. This is quite impressive as the club faced Villarreal and Celta Vigo who are two tough opponents to dominate.
Ronald Koeman has also managed to get the best out of Philippe Coutinho and that was on full display against Celta Vigo. The Brazilian forward was written off as the worst signing in Barca’s history alongside Ousmane Dembele, however, Koeman has managed to get the former Liverpool man back on his feet by playing him in his natural position.
The game against Celta saw the Catalans go down to 10 men at the 42nd minute when Clement Lenglet was sent off. Despite being down to 10 men in the second half, Barca managed to score two goals and dominated the game after the half time break.
This is certainly due to Koeman’s tactical setup and the intense training regime. This Barca side could potentially challenge Real Madrid for the La Liga title as the former champions have struggled in their last few fixtures.
With the arrival of Sergino Dest, the team looks a lot stronger and so does the squad depth. With ample time, Koeman could transform this team from unmotivated footballers to serial winners. If Koeman could possibly pull it off, then Lionel Messi might just reconsider his future.
Ronald Koeman needs time to work his magic and the board must back him to do so
