Barcelona boss green lights Manchester United target’s departure.

Manchester United and Liverpool are two clubs wishing to sign Barcelona superstar on loan. The 23-year-old French winger had been anything but consistent for the club and now even the manager is willing to let him go. Given the current situation it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Ousmane Dembele at the Premiere League next season.

More from Everything Barca

Back when Neymar left Barca to join Paris Saint-Germain for a ridiculous fee of 222 million euros, many fans were left wondering as to who could replace the immensely talented Brazilian. The Catalans decided upon bringing rising youngster, Dembele, from Dortmund for an eye watering fee of 135 million pounds. Many fans questioned the club’s rash decision but the deal was done and the French winger became Neymar’s successor.

Things however did not go quite well due to his disciplinary records, training conduct and most importantly, his fitness. Dembele has played just 75 games since he arrived from the Bundesliga and could only make nine appearances last season due to injuries. His injury ridden career has finally driven the Cataans into actively looking for a buyer and compensate some of the money spent on him.

Koeman said that he still admired the player but Dembele must wait for his chance to get back onto the pitch. He also mentioned that the future of the player was on the hands of the player himself and ofcourse the decision of the club. Dembele has previously stated that he wishes to stay in Spain and fight for his spot, however, with growing concerns about his physical health, the club might end up selling him or sending him on loan.

On top of that, youngster Ansu Fati has been on fire recently and Koeman has placed immence trust in the 17-year-old. Despite his age, Fati could potentially be the permanent replacement for Dembele at the Nou Camp.
