Barcelona have desperately lowered their price for Dembele as the club wants to part ways with the forward this summer

Before Ronald Koeman took over as the manager of FC Barcelona, the club had published a list of untouchable players that cannot be sold under any circumstances. However, it seems like the list that was created is of little to no importance to the Dutch manager.

More from Everything Barca

Nelson Semedo was part of the list and is currently playing for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League after completing a permanent transfer. Ousmane Dembele was part of the list as well, however, the player has been reportedly linked with a move to Manchester United.

Ronald Koeman has no nothing against the French forward, however, the manager has told the board that it would make no difference if the player is to leave this summer. The board have been trying to get rid of their lucrative signing after spending 105 million euros to sign the youngster in 2017.

The return on investment has been poor as Dembele has spent more time sidelined than he has on the field for the club. The 23-year-old is on contract until the summer of 2022, however, Barca are aware that if they do not sell him now for a decent fee then they would have to sell him for absolutely nothing next season since he would enter the final year of his contract.

It has been reported by the Daily Mail that the Catalans are willing to reduce the price to 60 million pounds for a permanent transfer of Ousmane Dembele to Manchester United. The Red Devils are keen on signing a right-winger after they failed to land Jadon Sancho.

A move to Manchester United could benefit Dembele by offering him a new chance in his career and it would give Barca the much needed breathing space after dealing with the player for three seasons.
