Ronald Koeman hails Barcelona youngster as the next ‘Iniesta’
Latest Barcelona arrival impresses Ronald Koeman for his simplicity.
Barcelona youngster 17-year-old Pedri has apparently impressed the new manager Ronald Koeman extremely well. The Spanish youngster lives in Catalan City with his brother who is apparently a cooking student and leads an extremely simple life for a footballer.

The attacking midfielder was asked about his first training session at Barca with Lionel Messi. He did not seem very excited about it as he stated that he enjoyed it in a calm way. For others, it would be a huge deal to play with Messi and company but for the youngster, he seemed calm and not too nervous about it. He stated that it is not a nervous or a scary situation and that he’s just there to enjoy his football.
The club boss is extremely impressed with the 17-year-old. He is pleased by the simplicity of the player and how he is extremely humble. Pedri apparently plays the game without any tricks and turns as he is a simple footballer who does not make a fuss out of situations. Simple and direct passing along with the simple movement from the youngster is what has the former Everton manager so amazed, as the exact same qualities were present in the club’s legend Andres Iniesta.
The former Netherlands coach is reportedly most in awe by Pedri out of all the youngsters in the Nou Camp. It may not come as a surprise if the attacking midfielder starts regularly for the senior team for this season or the upcoming one next year. Koeman has been extremely direct with his methods so far and him being impressed with something at the current state of the Catalan club must be really a huge deal. The youngster is here to stay at the Nou Camp and a bright future cannot be easily written off for the 17-year-old youngster.
