Josep Maria Bartomeu continues to harass and frustrate Lionel Messi as the president has asked the captain of Barcelona to accept another pay cut
Barcelona is currently in a state of turmoil as it has been reported that a vote of no confidence against Josep Maria Bartomeu has been successful. The vote of no confidence requires a figure close to 16,000 signatures, however, reports state that the number of signatures has now risen to 18,000 and will soon touch 20,000 signatures for the resignation of Bartomeu as the president of the club.

Despite his future at the club being in jeopardy, the 57-year-old president has continued to harras the players of the squad and in particular, Lionel Messi.
It has been reported by El Desmarque, that Bartomeu has written a letter to Lionel Messi and the other teammates regarding another pay cut to cope with the losses incurred during the pandemic.
A similar pay cut was instilled last season as well which sparked a lot of controversies as several senior players bashed the club on social media for stating that the players were not willing to accept a pay cut.
Given the recent vote of no confidence against Josep Maria Bartomeu, this could be his last few moments as the president of the club before he has to step down from his post.
However, reports state that the 57-year-old is confident that he will not have to resign and will continue until the summer of 2021 as the president of the club. The sooner Bartomeu leaves, the better it is for the club. He will most likely go down as the worst president in the club’s long history.
