Messi has since stated publicly how Bartomeu is ruining his club and when Ronald Koeman forced Luis Suarez out of the club, the six-time Ballon d’Or winner once again took to social media to proclaim his love for his best friend and vilified both Bartomeu and Koeman. Many saw this a step too far as for newer talent to come, the older ones must be sacrificed but Seedorf says that Messi should be able to express his emotions without being criticized and he even said that Koeman could make Messi feel settled at Barcelona once again.

He said in an interview with Goal,

"“I don’t generally judge anything when I read them, because we never know the reasons why somebody is saying certain things – what’s happening behind the scenes? I’ve been around too long to go and judge interviews of players or anybody.” “What I do think is that Messi has earned his stripes, and I think that if he feels like expressing himself the way he did, he knows the consequences of it eventually and he’s ready to take them.”"

His comments on the relationship between Messi and Koeman might also come out to be true. He said,

"“I think he’d be able to reconcile with Messi and bring Messi back in harmony with everybody in the whole situation. I think he is ready to make some choices, if he needs to make some choices for players to leave or to give new opportunities and also play a different game maybe.”"

This is turning out to be quite true as the duo have been performing quite well and they have won most of their games convincingly. Koeman’s philosophy is completely different from Setien’s and his formation requires Messi to play as a false nine. Koeman has also applauded the Argentine’s professionalism as he said that the forward has been training hard and has distanced his personal feelings from his professional work ethics.
