Ronald Koeman has revealed his three main Barcelona transfer targets.

Barcelona under the new management of Ronald Koeman, they are out to fix their aging squad by bringing in some fresh new replacements. However, due to the pandemic and a massive loss of revenue, estimated at around 300 million euros, many of the Dutch manager’s requests did not get fulfilled and he must wait until January of next year to make the deals go through.

Although the Catalan side is going through a financial crisis, they want to be able to provide their new manager with enough resources for attaining domestic and European success, and thus these are the three footballers they must absolutely sign for Koeman.

Eric Garcia from Manchester City

19-year-old Eric Garcia has been one of the players most heavily linked with Barcelona. The Spanish club is looking for a new young center-back to replace the aging, Gerard Pique, and Garcia would be an excellent replacement for the Spanish center-back.

Garcia is a product of La Masia however, he chose to leave the club in 2019 to join then English champions, Manchester City. The bright center-back did not get many chances and only made 14 appearances in the Premier League. He is now wishing for a move back to his hometown but Barca just fell short of the Citizens’ 20 million pounds asking price.

It is quite baffling as to why City are being so stubborn as the player has less than a year left on his contract and they could end up losing him for free. The Catalan side will try to negotiate once more in January but if that does not work, Garcia will be a free agent by July 2021 and Barcelona can pick him up for free then.
