3 Barcelona transfer targets set by Ronald Koeman

Another player that Barcelona fans thought would be in their club by this window was Liverpool’s Wijnaldum. The 29-year-old was sorted by Koeman as he enjoyed his game style and his overwhelming presence in the midfield while working with him in the Netherlands National team.
He was heavily linked with the club after failing to sign a contract extension with Liverpool. Talks died down, however, after Barcelona’s interest shifted to Lautaro Martinez instead and nothing ever happened to the Wijnaldum deal. The player is still on Koeman’s list and could be brought into Barcelona should he not sign a new contract with the Merseyside club and become a free agent by next year.
