Bruno Fernandes has been one of the only shining lights in Manchester United’s disappointing start to their 2020/21 campaign.
The attacking midfielder has been absolutely brilliant with his playmaking skills and has been manufacturing chances for Rashford and Martial out of nothing. As per Goal, Barcelona and Real Madrid have been keeping a close eye on the Portuguese midfielder and want him at their clubs even though he is just 8 months into his Manchester United stint.

For Barcelona, the addition of Bruno Fernandes would give the attacking strength of the squad a much needed boost and it would allow Messi to play his natural game at the front 3rd of the field. The Argentine ace has taken a playmaking role this season rather than his usual goal-scoring one. He has created a significant number of chances but some flabby finishing at the front has rendered them useless.
Frenkie de Jong hasn’t hit top form yet and that means increased load on Messi. Bruno Fernandes could be the perfect partner for de Jong and no doubt, he is an asset for any team, given that he’s just 26. However, his arrival to Camp Nou would mean that the Blaugrana might have to change their formation in order to get the best out of him.
For Real Madrid though, the interest looks straightforward. Modric is 35, Kroos is 31, and Isco is 28. Now, that’s a relatively quick ageing midfield attack. Real Madrid would like to get a replacement for Modrid as soon as possible and there’s no other option who is better than Bruno, at the moment. Kroos is good to go for at least another couple of years while Isco can play at the top of his game at least until 32.
Having speculated enough, this road is likely to be a dead-end for either of the clubs as the Red Devils are unlikely to let go of their midfield mastero and their prized possession. However, they might be open to the sale of Pogba but then again, that’s a story for some other day.
