Barcelona are keen on securing two key stars on new contracts.

Barcelona’s number one goalkeeper has reportedly agreed a new deal but it is not official as of now. They are constantly looking to finalize the deal to land the German for a longer time at the Nou Camp.

Lenglet is now a very important figure in the squad and his contract renewal would be a fantastic deal for the club. The defender is extremely key to the current system as he is great on the ball. Playing alongside Gerard Pique has also helped the defender improve and become one of the crucial center backs for the Catalans. His deal will guarantee his presence for a longer time at the Nou Camp.

As for Frenkie De Jong, working with his former international coach will be another plus point. A long-term extension would seal his place in the midfield for a very long time and he can create his own legacy as this fresh Barca side grows under Koeman.

Ter Stegen on the other hand is reportedly extremely keen to pen a new deal but there has been a delay. However, all these players are core members of the current squad and their dedication to this club’s future seems inevitable. Both Lenglet and De Jong are amazing young talents who have world class potential and the capability to be one of the greatest Barcelona players. As for Mats, he has been one of the best goalkeepers in Europe and a new deal will be a relief for the La Liga giants.

Koeman looks to be running the club well so far as they beat Hungarian side, Ferencvárosi TC, 5-1 in their first UEFA Champions League game in the group stages, but the real test awaits the Dutch coach as his next two matches are against Real Madrid in La Liga and Juventus in the Champions League respectively.
