Barcelona must win the Champions League.

More from Everything Barca

Barcelona lost with a score of 8-2 in the semi-finals of the 2019-2020 Champions League against Hansi Flick’s Bayern Munich. This loss lead to a series of problems and complications that the Spanish giants had to deal with which ultimately lead to the sacking of Quique Setien.

In addition to the sacking of Quique Setien the Catalan giants faced another problem as their clubs captain Lionel Messi displayed interest to leave the club which lead to a lot of criticism and resentment from the fans as well as the media towards the club and the directors of the club.

Under the Spanish giants new manager Ronald Koeman Barca must win the La Liga as well as the Champions League in order to pursued the Argantienan superstar to stay in the Camp Nou for a few seasons rather then letting him leave the club over the next summer transfer window which is an option he has as part of his contract.

Barca must bring new players to the Camp Nou.

In addition to persuading Messi to stay in Barca for another few seasons the club must sign exceptional players who can replace the duo of Sergio Busquets and Gerad Pique who are in their 30’s and are playing one of their past few seasons of football. Signing new players will help re-establish the spine of the squad over the course of the next few seasons.

Do you think Barca will be able to persuade Lieonal Messi to stay in the club for a few more season?
