Barcelona strikeout Neymar’s return as the club consider signing a Premier League superstar next summer to replace Lionel Messi

Barcelona has more or less written off the return of Neymar given the fact that the former winger has considered renewing terms with Paris Saint-Germain. Since Neymar will not be returning to the Camp Nou, the Catalans have set their sights on another former winger who had left the club in the summer of 2015 in search of game time.

The player in question is Adama Traore of Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 24-year-old winger had recently even spoken about a possible return to his former club to which he stated that it is not in his hands to make a decision.

Traore would certainly love a return to the Camp Nou given the fact that the player shares a great relationship with Ansu Fati and a few other Spaniards at the club. However, El Desmarque reports that resigning the winger will not be an easy operation as Wolves value their 24-year-old at 100 million euros.

Another issue would that the Blaugrana face is the serious competition for the Spanish winger. Liverpool and Manchester City have shown a great deal of interest in Traore as well and Barca would have to start a bidding war with the two English powerhouses if they are to sign Traore.

Since Lionel Messi is most likely joining forces with Manchester City next summer, Barca will have to start their hunt for a possible replacement on the right flank. Neymar’s return is no longer possible and the signing of Traore seems difficult, who should the Catalans then go for next summer?
