Juventus to be without their biggest superstar against Barcelona.

The unfortunate thing has happened, ever since fans first got to know of Cristiano Ronaldo’s health status, they were scared that the Portuguese might not recover in time for the clash against his arch-rival, Lionel Messi. Ronaldo cleared two covid tests but needed to clear one more to be eligible to be playing again however, in his third and final test on Thursday, he tested positive yet again which means that he will surely be missing out on the Barcelona v.s. Juventus match.

More from Everything Barca

The 35-year-old first tested positive on 13th October while he was on international duty. Since then he was on a healthy recovery route and he was negative in two prior tests. It seemed as if after two years without Messi v.s. Ronaldo, fans would finally be able to see them in action yet again. The El Clasico has not been the same since Ronaldo left for Turin and many critics have criticized the Argentine for letting himself go ever since the Portuguese left La Liga.

This would have been the perfect chance for Messi to show the world his worth and prove once and for all who the better player is. With eleven Ballon d’Or between themselves, it is hard to decide who the better player is. The chance has now been ruined due to the ongoing pandemic and fans will not be able to witness the epic reunion of the two best players in the world.

However, things are not all bad, Although Ronaldo has been tested positive, the winger is in great spirits and might still get to play the reverse fixture. Hopes are still not completely gone for the reunion and Andrea Pirlo vs. Ronald Koeman will still be a spectacle even without the two great players.
