Lionel Messi has finally bestowed his faith in Antoine Griezmann of Barcelona who has had a rough patch signing joining the side in 2019
Antoine Griezmann finally seems to be settling down at Barcelona after a rough debut season in the 2019/20 campaign. The former Atletico Madrid forward seemed more like an outcast in his first season with the club after being isolated on the field during most fixtures.

However, with the appointment of Ronald Koeman and the departure of Luis Suarez, Griezmann’s career at Barca has turned a new leaf. Yes, it certainly has had a few ups and downs as well such as being benched against Real Madrid in place of 17-year-old Pedri, however, the Frenchman’s path seems to be improving off late.
His performance against Juventus in the Champions League group stage, in particular, won the hearts of many fans and disbelievers. Sources state that his work rate and ethic against Andrea Pirlo‘s side at the Allianz Stadium also impressed Ronald Koeman and Lionel Messi.
The Frenchman and the South American captain formed a connection together against the Italian side that was never seen before. The two forwards linked up with each other 14 times during the game. A shocking stat has also been revealed that Messi completed nine passes to Griezmann and the Frenchman completed five passes to Messi.
The duo has never linked up like this before. For the past year or so it seemed like the two never got along and Messi mostly preferred passing the ball to Luis Suarez instead. However, it finally seems like the two could partner together up front in what could be Messi’s final season at the Camp Nou.
