Pep Guardiola, who is on the radar of Barcelona is likely to shun their advances forever in order to pursue alternative challenges in his career.
Joan Laporta and Victor Font, two of the prospective Barcelona presidents are open admirers of Pep Guardiola. The former manager exactly knows the demands at the Camp Nou having spent a large part of his playing career over there and also having enjoyed some of his most successful years as a manager.

Pep sees his contract end at Manchester City at the end of the 2020/21 season and all things point towards him staying at the club. While the Spaniard has not impressed in the current and previous campaigns, he remains a favourite at the Etihad Stadium and his rapport with the players and management is likely to see him remain at the club for long.
Recently, he has mentioned that he is incredibly happy at the club and speaking to the press after City’s 1-0 win over Sheffield United, Pep Guardiola said that his time at Barcelona is over. The manager enjoyed a more than memorable stint in his home city but no longer wants to take up another challenge at one of the most stressful atmospheres in football.
Guardiola’s words mean that he is likely to extend his stay in the Premier League as Manchester City continue their transition from experience to youth. The 50-year-old seems in his comfort zone at the Etihad and has the financial backing to build a squad which he deems fit for his own beautiful playing style.
As for the potential Barca chiefs, it means a hilt as neither of them seem to have confidence in Ronald Koeman and an alternative option for them may well be the inexperienced Xavi Hernandez. The situation also casts one more cloud of doubt onto Lionel Messi’s future as he was linked with a reunion with Pep Guardiola at the home of the Sky Blues.
