Lionel Messi simply does not care anymore for Barcelona and must leave the club next summer as Manchester City remain the favourites to sign the player
Quite a bold statement to be made, however, if you have watched the Alaves vs Barcelona game live or rewatched it then you would thoroughly understand the current situation. Lionel Messi simply did not bother against Alaves as the 33-year-old did not track back, press, or defend.

So much so, a video has gone viral of an Alaves player dribbling past Messi at a slow pace while the captain of Barca continues to walk rather than press and attempt to win the ball.
Is it age that is catching up with the six-time Golden Ball winner or is it simply a slack attitude? The latter seems to be the case given the fact that Messi was a complete different player last season. The 2019/20 Leo Messi was the engine of Barca as he ran the show and topped the goal scoring and assists charts.
This season, after being held back against his will, the 33-year-old has not yet scored a goal from open play and has just provided a single assist. This drastic drop in performance simply cannot be related to the age factor given how clutch Messi was last season. It is rather a motivational factor as the captain simply wants to leave as soon as possible.
Look at the slack attitude from Lionel Messi. He just let the player go without even making an attempt. This has been the case far too often for Messi. Even against Bayern Munich last season. once the Bavarians scored three goals, Leo Messi simply gave up and barely made an attempt to make a difference. In fact, it was Luis Suarez who has generally targeted by fans as unfit or useless that made the difference for Barca by pressing and scoring a goal as well.
What do you make of Messi’s situation at the club? Should he be sold in the winter?
