According to Mundo Deportivo via German-based newspaper, Bild, the 23-year-old is sure to move from his current club as interest surrounding the player grows. The French international had a decent season last season and he scored fourteen goals while also providing 9 assists. His efforts along with his team’s hard work secured them a UEFA Champions League spot and clubs will be eager to see what the young striker can accomplish this year in Europe’s elite tournament.

He would be a good choice for the Spanish giants who are desperately in need of a new striker, however, he might not be their first choice. Thuram is after all a versatile winger who can play on both the wings as well as in the number 9 spot, however, the Catalans are looking for a more traditional striker. What might convince Ronald Koeman are the comments made by Arsene Wenger. The former Arsenal boss put heavy praise on the young French player and even compared him with legend, Thiery Henry. In an interview with Der Spiegel, he said,

"“Henry had the timing of the smartest footballers. He was also very physically strong. And technically He could do everything: join the combination game, haggle with defenders, block. In fact, there is one player in the Bundesliga who reminds me of him: Marcus Thuram of Borussia Munchengladbach,”Source Marca"

Along with that his father also used to play for Barca which might persuade Thuram to join them as well in order to follow in his father’s footsteps. He made a good start to the season and had a memorable game against Real Madrid in the Champions League in which he scored 2 goals to make the world feel his presence.
