Ronald Koeman has a plan in place to make Antoine Griezmann the face of Barcelona as the Dutch manager believes that the French forward can be lethal
It has been over a season and a half since Antoine Griezmann signed for Barcelona. The former Atletico Madrid forward has so far failed to live up to the expectations and the price tag. However, Ronald Koeman believes Griezmann will soon shine as the manager has a plan in place to do so.

In his debut season, 2019/20, Antoine Griezmann’s role in the squad was limited due to the 4-3-3 formation. The 29-year-old operates best when played from the centre rather than on the wings in the 4-3-3 formation, however, with the presence of Luis Suarez, there was no other option for the 120 million euro signing.
With Suarez’s departure to Atletico Madrid and Ronald Koeman’s appointment at Barca, Antoine Griezmann has slowly adapted to the system at Camp Nou. The 29-year-old has lately been performing well which comes as a massive sigh of relief given how long it has taken for the player to finally hit the ground running.
The reason behind his recent run of decent performances is due to his conversation with Ronald Koeman. The Frenchman made it clear that he wants to play from the centre and not from the wings and Ronald Koeman has agreed to the player’s recent request, according to reports.

Griezmann has been left out from the starting eleven in some of the crucial games this season such as the first Champions League fixture and the El Clasico, however, Koeman, is now confident that the former Atletico Madrid man is ready to lead the attack from the centre.
