Real Madrid boss wants the striker linked with a move to Barcelona
Zinedine Zidane looks to be completely unimpressed by their recent centre forward signing Luka Jovic. With Karim Benzema ageing, he is running out of options and a young centre forward who can really do the job in a lethal manner is a huge target for the three-time UEFA Champions League-winning manager with Barcelona target being named one of the favourites.

Jovic was signed by Real Madrid at the beginning of the 2019/20 season from Eintracht Frankfurt. However, given the multiple injuries and time spent put, he has absolutely failed to deliver. The centre forward has not been the ideal signing that the club and the fans expected.
Multiple reports suggest that Zinedine Zidane is now looking for a replacement for Luka Jovic in Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
The French boss is also looking at Argentine centre forward Lautaro Martinez who is known to be a major target for their direct rivals FC Barcelona. Multiple reports suggest that Zidane is torn between the two and is not completely sure who would make a better signing, but the interest alone could complicate Barca’s position with Inter, who have been reluctant to sell Lautaro for a cheap.
Lautaro Martinez has got some outstanding link-up play under his belt which would benefit both Los Blancos and Blaugrana. The Argentine is also a very lethal finisher. Real Madrid are also heavily linked to Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe who has reportedly refused to sign new contracts. Barcelona are also among the many interested in signing Mbappe as the World Cup winner is one of the best players of his generation.
A move for Martinez or/and Mbappe would potentially shift the dynamic of Spanish football with Barca and Real both looking to bolster their chances of securing the two superstars. Lautaro to Real Madrid would resolve their finishing problems, and ensure a long term replacement for Karim Benzema, while a move to Barca will finally bring a proper long-term no. 9 to Camp Nou after the departure of Luis Suarez.
Should Barca let Real secure Lautaro as Koeman continues to maintain interest in Memphis Depay?
