Barcelona are planning to remove Ousmane Dembele from the Transfer list.

Barcelona have tried to put the former Borussia Dortmund star on their transfer list during the 2020 summer transfer window but it did not go accordingly as no deal was struck. However, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s Manchester United have been heavily interested in landing the winger since the summer transfer window of 2020.

Multiple reports have also suggested that United will be coming back for the winger in the January transfer window. The Red Devils were heavily linked to the 23-year-old during the summer transfer window in 2020. However, they failed to match Barcelona’s demands in order to land the Frenchman.

Dembele to the Premier League giants will be a very good move for the player. On one hand, the 23-year-old will get to revive his status to world-class, the status he had at Dortmund. His performances at Barca have been extremely average and he was out most of the time with injuries.

Given his price tag and hype, the Catalans had huge expectations from the Frenchman and somehow he failed to deliver. A fresh start in England will give the winger an opportunity to revive his career. The 23-year-old will also get to link up with international teammates such as Paul Pogba and Antony Martial. United’s right-wing problem since Cristiano Ronaldo too will be sorted if Dembele clicks at Old Trafford.

However, reports are now suggesting that Barcelona are reconsidering the decision to sell him in January. Given the recent injury faced by youngster Ansu Fati, Blaugrana are lacks any proper replacements for the 18-year-old, and selling Dembele will only make matters worse.. The French international can play on both flanks and could potentially replace Fati’s main role in the first team. Hence, United or any other club that are interested in the young French forward, may not land him anytime soon.
