Barcelona have a clear shot at signing Cristiano Ronaldo‘s partner in crime next summer transfer window as Juventus struggle to renew terms with La Joya

Juventus are currently struggling to strike a deal with Paulo Dybala who is on contract with the 2019/20 Serie A champions until the summer of 2022. Having said that, if Juve fails to renew terms, Barcelona could possibly consider bidding for La Joya next summer as the Bianconeri’s will be hoping to cash in on their star player.

More from Everything Barca

Dybala would be an ideal replacement for the Catalans next summer and could possibly take on Lionel Messi‘s role as well.

At the age of 26, a long-term contract with Barca would be an ideal situation as well. The South American forward has hinted in the past about his admiration towards Barca by stating “it would be very nice” when asked if he could one day play for the Catalonians.

Since Lionel Messi will most likely leave next summer, Barca will need to find a replacement for the right-wing. And like Messi, Dybala is extremely versatile.

The Serie A player can play on the right-wing, centre-forward, secondary-striker, and as a central attacking midfielder as well. Thus making him an ideal candidate to fill in Messi’s shoes.

However, consistency and matchday fitness seems to be an issue with the 26-year-old. Dybala had scored 22 goals in the 2017/18 season and since then La Joya has not scored more than 12 league goals. There seems to be a clear issue of consistency when it comes to Dybala’s style of play.

What is your opinion on Paulo Dybala? Should Barca go for the 26-year-old next summer or should they consider another player?
