Barcelona prepares a bid to sign one of the world’s best forward’s in the summer of 2021 to replace Lionel Messi who is most likely set to leave.
It seems like Lionel Messi will be moving on from his time at Barcelona next summer as Manchester City remain the favorites to sign the world’s best player. However, in the meantime, Joan Laporta, a prospective candidate to be the next president of the Catalan club, has a plan in place to sign one of the world’s best forwards.

Although Laporta himself wants Messi to stay at Camp Nou, however, if the Argentinian forward decides to leave next summer then Laporta’s back-up plan is to sign Erling Haaland, according to reports.
In fact, Laporta shares a great relationship with Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola. It has been reported that Raiola has a verbal agreement with Borussia Dortmund to let Haaland leave the club at the end of this season for just 75 million euros.
For just 75 million euros, Barca could sign one of the world’s very best players who is just 20-years-old and has already broken several records. Many even believe that Haaland is a brighter talent than Kylian Mbappe and that the Norwegian could achieve a lot more than the Frenchman.
Nonetheless, Laporta plans to use the possible signing of Haaland as part of his campaign to become president. And if appointed, the Spanish businessman will ensure the signing of Erling Haaland.
The 20-year-old has 27 goals in 29 games for Borussia Dortmund, almost averaging a goal in every game. Haaland’s arrival could prove to be fundamental for a post-Lionel Messi era and it seems like the Norwegian can deal with the pressure to perform at his very best.
