Arsenal and Manchester United keen on securing Barcelona star.
Ousmane Dembele’s future is once again the talk of the town. The French National has just one and a half years left of his contract with Barcelona but the club is unwilling to extend that whilethe winger does not desire to leave. The 23-year-old instead wishes to prove himself at the Spanish side and wants to earn back his place in the starting eleven. This is, however, going to be a monumental task with the recent importance given to youngsters like Ansu Fati, Pedri, and Francisco Trincao, and the Frenchman should consider other options as well.

It’s quite correct to say that Dembele had a rough time with Barcelona. Problems with his attitude and the number of injuries have made him unreliable at the club. The Spanish club tried to get rid of him in the past when they tried to swap him with Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain. They once again tried to offload the player this summer when they almost sold him off to Manchester United.
The idea was to sell Dembele and then use the money made from his transfer to buy Memphis Depay from Olympique Lyonnais. Ronald Koeman wanted Depay to be their center-forward and as he had no plans of using Dembele as a winger. Add to that the meteoric rise of Ansu Fati the combination made sure that Dembele knew that he was no longer required at the club. His offer from United should have been like a blessing however, the winger decided to not accept the transfer and decided to stay instead.
This decision ruined the plans of the club and they were unable to bring Depay. This made him even more unpopular with the former board and it is very unlikely that he will be continuing at Barca under new management either. The player has less than two years left and the Catalan side could very well lose him for free. Thus the club wants to sell him off as fast as possible.
According to reports, two big Premier League clubs are already looking into the situation, those two being, Arsenal and Manchester United. Both of these clubs hope to bring out the true potential of the player but they must also check their accounts as Barcelona are probably going to sell him at a price close to 90 million euros.
Should Barca sell or keep Dembele?
