The story of Barcelona and Samuel Umtiti is a rather strange one but it seems like that the time for the Frenchman is up at Camp Nou.

Umtiti was an extremely key player for Barcelona before his run of injuries started. Though the decision to play through the World Cup with an injury proved to be a winning decision, his career has only gone downhill since then.
He has spent the majority of his time in the last two seasons on the sidelines while eating up a huge wage bill. Naturally, Barcelona are looking to offload their defender in a bid to free up some funds and as per Todofichajes, Everton seems to be up for doing business with the Catalan giants once again.
With a rumored transfer fee of £12 million, Everton are interested in acquiring the services of the Frenchman as Carlo Ancelotti looks to tighten his leaky defense. This bit of money will be very vital for the former La Liga champions in signing their summer targets in Eric Garcia and Memphis Depay. The priority at the moment is landing the Lyon forward in Depay.
However, Martin Braithwaite has been proving his worth and has been very consistent for the team. So it will be an interesting choice to make for Ronald Koeman. Meanwhile, Everton has latched on the players discarded by Barcelona in recent times and the likes of Lucas Digne, Yerry Mina, and Andre Gomes have all ended up at the Premier League side.
The Catalan giants seem to be headed towards another trophy-less season and most likely lose the services of their best player and talisman in Lionel Messi at the end of the season. Financially, the club is performing weakly at the moment, and post the departure of Messi, funds will be required to bring in some fresh talent and to groom them.
Koeman has got a very tough task at hand at it will be interesting to see how he goes about Umtiti before the start of the winter window, in a bid to increase his valuation by giving him ample game time so that the Frenchman can find some form.
Should Barca give Umtiti another chance or sell him?
