Neymar desperately wants Lionel Messi at PSG.
Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr recently stated in a post-match interview, after the Champions League victory over Manchester United, that he would love to reunite and play with Lionel Messi again if the Argentine is willing to. He stated that he would love for the Argentine to come and play for the French champions and form a reunion while trying to duplicate the times on the pitch that the two shared at Camp Nou.

This request from the Brazilian can come to a reality as Lionel Messi had handed in a transfer request, wanting a move out of the club in the summer transfer window of 2020.
However, due to multiple legal problems, Argentine was not able to make a move out of the Nou Camp as the then Barcelona board stated that the only way any club could sign the maestro was by paying 100 million euros. No club can afford such an amount especially during a pandemic and the only way Leo could have left is by taking this matter to the court.
Messi decided to fulfill his contract until 2021 and then make a free transfer move to his desired destination. Hence, the 33-year-old will be waiting for another year.
Manchester City were hailed as the biggest suitors for Messi’s signature. Many top tier reports suggested that the little magician will be heading to the City of Manchester Stadium in order to reunite with his former boss Josep Pep Guardiola and play for the Premier League giants.
However, now the reports suggest that the Sky Blues have cooled their interest in the Argentine as his wages are too high and that he will be 34 years of age, by the time he arrives. Hence, Paris Saint-Germain would be a better option as they can afford the wages comfortably.
However, Neymar’s contract ends in the year 2022 and that’s two seasons away from now. The Brazilian superstar has guaranteed the fact that if the Parisians do end up signing the Argentine, he himself will extend his contract with the French giants too.
It looks like the 28-year-old is extremely interested in reuniting with Messi and since a return to the Nou Camp is not exactly an ideal situation currently, it would be best if Messi arrived at the Parc des Princes.
Should Barca accept any offers for Messi or try to convince him to retire at the Nou Camp?
