Ronald Koeman gives his take on Barcelona against PSG draw
Koeman believes Barcelona have 50% odds of making it through.
Barcelona came out as second best in their group after a disappointing loss against Juventus in the final group stage match. The Catalans were hoping to top the group and get an easier opponent but due to their last-minute blunder, they will now have to face one of the most feared clubs in Europe, Paris Saint-Germain.

The last time the French giants clashed with the Spanish side was back in 2017. That match was also in the UEFA Champions League round of sixteen and after two thrilling ties, Barcelona managed to move forward. It was a historic match of football and the Catalans left it till the last moment to grab the winner as they put six goals past a very shaky PSG.
PSG, now a completely different team will surely be looking for revenge and it will be very difficult for the Spaniards to go past a team with such players and who are in such good form.
Ronald Koeman himself admits that it will be a tough task to best a team like PSG but he says that it will not be impossible and that Barcelona have a very good chance to go to the next stage,
In an interview with Football club Barcelona’s media, he said,
"“We knew we could be played by a strong team, we got the PSG, but it’s also difficult for them because we too are a strong team and I see a pretty even playoff,”“It’s a tough draw, but it’s at 50%. They’ll want to stay in the Champions League, just like us. They have great players and we have great players, it will be an attractive match, both in Barcelona and in Paris,”Source Mundo Deportivo"
Koeman believes that his club has a fifty percent chance of making it through. Given recent performances, it would be safe to bet on PSG to get the job done however, football is played on the field and not on paper. Emotions are sure to be high during the game and although we do not yet know if Neymar will be able to recover in time, it will be one game that you do not want to miss.
