Barcelona youngster planning a potential exit for more game time.

La Liga side Getafe, have always been interested in Barcelona youngster Marc Cucurella but failed to land the youngster on even a loan. However, reports now suggest that the Madrid based club are interested in another Catalan youngster, Carles Alena. The youngster was on loan at Real Betis since the last January transfer window of 2020. He could go the same way again with Getafe in this upcoming January transfer window of 2021.

More from Everything Barca

Ronald Koeman has had a problem with man-management so far; even after selling so many players in the summer transfer window of 2020, there are many players who are having a problem with game time. Talented Barcelona youngster, Riqui Puig is one of the main midfielders who does not seem to be anywhere near the plans of Koeman during his reign as the Blaugrana manager, despite the youngster having proved himself under the previous manager, Quique Setien.

Alena is one of the many La Masia products that have spent time away on loan. Patience is not a common characteristic that youngsters possess at this current age in modern-day football. However, for Alena, the doors will be open if the youngster does want to leave. Getafe are reportedly heavily interested in the Barcelona man and the Blaugrana may even go on to sell the player permanently due to the financial problems that the club are currently facing.

The Catalans are looking to sell more of their players in order to fund more transfers for the club to sign in the upcoming January transfer window or in the summer transfer window of 2021. As for Alena, the player is having a massive problem due to the lack of game time and one cannot even blame the manager given the quality he already has at his disposal for the Barcelona midfield. It will not come as a surprise to see the young La Masia player to be over at Getafe in the upcoming season, whether on loan or on a permanent transfer.

Should Barca keep, sell or loan Alena?
