Arsenal enter race to sign Barcelona youngster, Riqui Puig
Arsenal have joined the race to loan Barcelona youngster.
Riqui Puig is a talented 21-year-old midfielder who is being wasted on the benches of Barcelona. A talented prodigy like him will not fulfill his potential if he cannot harness his skills and abilities. Although the player wants to stay in Spain and fight for a place in the club he should consider other options as well such as a move away to another league. Since Puig loves Barcelona, he could make a temporary loan move to a club to gain experience because at the moment he is just wasting his potential.

Ronald Koeman made it clear the moment he arrived at the club that Riqui Puig would not be getting much game time. Although the player is one of their best graduates from La Masia, the midfielder just has too much competition in that position. Currently, he has been frozen out of the team and Koeman has decided to put him up for loan as his talents are being wasted.
Having only played one La Liga game this entire season, it would be irresponsible of him to not accept a loan move. Big teams such as AC Milan and Arsenal are interested in picking him up and if he decides to go to the Premier League, he could help out the team immensely as well as get a lot of playing time.
Arsenal are at the moment struggling to score goals and win matches. They sit 15th on the table, which is absolutely unacceptable from a side such as theirs. The problem is very simple, without the likes of a creative midfielder like Mesut Ozil, the team is unable to create chances and thus strikers such as Aubameyang and Lacazette are being wasted.
The Gunners were already linked with big names such as Isco and Houssem Aouar but they are also scouting Puig for a loan deal. A move to Arsenal would be a big win for the player as well as the club. While Puig will be getting a lot of game time and will be gaining a lot of experience from English football, Arteta’s team will also be benefiting from the multidimensional, creative midfielder.
Puig’s dream is to play for Barcelona but the young player should also understand that if he puts his career on a hold at the age of 21, he might never reach his potential. He must not let his legs get rusted and should take his opportunities. Koeman does not see him as useful at the club and thus he should prove the Dutch manager wrong by showcasing his talents at a different league.
Should Puig experience the Premier League with Arsenal?
