Lionel Messi talks about Luis Suarez’s exit and Neymar’s arrival.

Everyone remembers the historical deadly trio, Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar Jr. The three made every defence in the world shake with fear, and Barcelona was a goal-scoring machine with them. However, as is the rule of the world, every good thing must come to an end and now only Messi is left at the club.

More from Everything Barca

The three share a good relationship, that was common knowledge, however, during Messi’s latest interview with La Sexta, the Argentine shared a lot more details about their friendship. The 33-year-old talked about his disappointment at Suarez’s exit and possibilities of Neymar joining Barcelona again.

Firstly speaking about Suarez, the Uruguayan chose to join Atletico Madrid after he was deemed surplus by Ronald Koeman. He received an unceremonious exit after his years of service and this really angered Messi and he expressed his frustration on an Instagram post. He discussed the situation further with the Spanish media channel by saying,

"“I didn’t like the way he left. I didn’t think he deserved to leave like that. He went for free to a team that is fighting for the same things as us.”Source Goal"

This sentiment turned out to be true as Atletico Madrid are at the top of the table with eight points clear of Barcelona, plus a game in hand. Suarez’s move however did not affect their friendship and the two speak regularly and still share a special bond.

"“I speak to Luis almost every day, and between the three of us, we have a very good relationship.”"

Neymar on the other hand has a rather complicated relationship with the club. He left Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain but has been linked with a move back to Spain several times. It almost felt like Barcelona would buy him back due to the number of times they had been linked with the Brazilian. This however was not the case. When asked about a potential reunion, Messi replied by saying,

"“How do you pay Paris for the transfer? It is not easy, it will be a difficult situation for the new president. He will have to be very intelligent, get everything in order and make many changes to make it go well.”Source Goal"

He even dismissed any rumors linking him with PSG. Messi continued by saying that although Neymar decided to move away from Barcelona, the three still share a good relationship. The Argentine said that he even spoke to Neymar about their upcoming clash and neither of them are too happy about facing such strong opponents in the Round of 16.

At the end of the day, people must face it that a reunion is highly unlikely and that MSN is a thing of the past. They were the deadliest trio but they decided to go their own ways and we must respect that. Messi himself is unsure about his future with Barcelona and could end up playing for a different club next season. However, no matter which club the three play for, they will still be very good friends and will share a very good and loving bond.
