In the summer transfer window of 2020, there were many players who left the club as they were informed that they will not be a part of the Dutchman’s plans at the Nou Camp. Players like Riqui Puig who were not going to be a part of the former Everton manager’s plans at the Nou Camp did not make an exit and he is now currently on the sidelines not getting much minutes to prove himself.
Hence, the Blaugrana coach has now, once again, mentioned that there are still many players who are in the squad that will be of no use to him.
The Barcelona coach did not mention the names of the players about whom he was talking about but multiple sources have stated that it’s Carles Alena, Riqui Puig, and Samuel Umtiti.
The Dutchman wants to strengthen the squad and make more new signings in order to win titles and he feels that there are many players who will not help him deliver. Due to the financial problems at the Nou Camp, sales need to be made in order to gather funds for multiple transfers.
Now that the January transfer window of 2021 is open, Koeman can go ahead and make sales in order to gather transfer funds and free up a bigger amount of wages in order to bring in new players. Manchester City’s Eric Garcia already looks like a done deal according to top tier trusted sources of Europe. The January transfer window looks promising for the Catalans, more signings will not come as a surprise. Koeman will be looking to change things and improve the squad in order to get back in the Spanish title race.
Should these players leave on loan to continue their developments or remain at the Nou Camp?
