Agusti Benedito pessimist about Lionel Messi staying in Barcelona.

Barcelona presidential candidate, Agusti Benedito has claimed that he is not very hopeful about club legend Lionel Messi extending his stay at the Nou Camp. The presidential candidate is almost sure that the Argentine will “most likely” leave the club in the upcoming summer transfer window of 2021. The Spaniard has also stated that he is very “pessimistic” about this particular situation where he is not hopeful at all about the club captain changing his mind and staying with the Blaugrana.

More from Everything Barca

Messi is basically the perfect definition of what Barcelona as a football club stands for. Since day one, the Argentine has spent the whole of his career at the Nou Camp where he’s helped the club win countless trophies, La Liga titles, UEFA Champions League titles, FIFA Club World Cup, and many more. The magician has also scored a blasphemous amount of 644 goals in a total amount of 750 games. The 33-year-old has done it all and played a big part in Barcelona’s rise to a European giant status level.

It is obviously normal for the fans, staff, and the members who form this footballing institution to feel extremely disheartened by this situation. Lionel Messi is Barcelona. A person of such status and inspiration leaving, is going to be a huge deal for the people that form this club as a whole. Hence, the potential presidential candidate Benedito is extremely pessimistic and negative about this situation. The people seem to have lost hope and an exit for the Argentine looks to be inevitable.

The maestro is currently linked with the likes of Mauricio Pochettino‘s Paris Saint-Germain, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, and Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan. A move for the magician to the City of Manchester Stadium will most likely be his best fit as he will reunite with his long-time favorite coach, Guardiola.
